[plug] telnet access in Red Hat 6.1

/etc/inetd.conf should include:

   telnet  stream  tcp     nowait  root    /usr/sbin/tcpd  in.telnetd

Check /var/log/messages*

Attempt a telnet, and see which log files are changed, by datestamp.
