[plug] Internet Connection setup???

I have just tried to set up my internet connection using kppp (KDE 2.0) 
under RH 7.1. I can connect, but any time i go to ping a server, look at a 
web page etc, nothing happens. In mozilla, I get the message "Looking up 
host" and nothing happens. I have connected be4 through Red Hat's PPP 
dialer, in a previous install of RH without KDE and with gnome. I have a 
Lucent Winmodem and am running the latest LinModem Drivers. If anyone can 
help it would be much appreciated.
