[plug] permission denied errors

Hi guys,
In my machine I have 2 drives. Now my second drive is mounted
at /mnt/drive2 (yeah original huh).
Now for some reason I can not run any programs on that drive.
Even when chmod 777 a file, it still will not run, bash supplies me 
with:
[root at batesy mozilla]# ./testy.pl 
bash: ./testy.pl: Permission denied

I am completely confused, so if someone could shed some light it would be 
sweet!
