[plug] unused debian packages

I've developed a disk space problem on my laptop.  There are probably
unused libwhatever packages there that can be removed.

When I type 'apt-get install xx' and xx requires libyy and libzz, if I
then do 'apt-get remove xx', how do I find out that libyy and libzz are
now unused?  Is there a dpkg-something or apt-something command or
option to list the "use count" of packages?
