[plug] Please nominate for the committee!

I hope everyone has been having a good Christmas break.

I'd like to encourage people to nominate for the committee again. In
particular, I'd like people to think about nominating for Chair. I'm
not planning to step back from PLUG completely (I'll still run for
committee, and want to complete the server migration project), but I'd
love for someone else to take the lead this year.

Over the last year the rest of the committee has been very helpful in
organising, and I expect the same will be true in 2026. So don't think
of the chair as a position that is expected to do everything for the
group. The job of all committee members is easier when there are more
people helping out, so I'd love to see some fresh blood nominate for
positions.

If you are not currently a financial member, you will be able to
nominate and/or vote by joining before the 13th January AGM. There are
details on the process on the website here:

But in short, it consists of:

1. Signing up at https://ugmm.plug.org.au/
2. Transferring the membership payment to the PLUG bank account
(details are on the membership page).
3. Emailing the committee so one of us can mark your membership as paid.

If the standard membership fee is more than you can afford, pick the
concession amount. We don't have any specific criteria for concession
and would prefer to have you as a member than not a member.
