I did look into that a while back, but it just looked too opaque.
Probably great if you are managing a fleet of enterprise Dell laptops, but when you have a small array of machines all with different hardware and requirements it just seemed too much like hard work.

Plus, try and find a 2TB NVME SSD with Opal compliant SED on that list that I can buy over the counter.

Great idea in theory, but the Venn diagram between my hardware requirements and firmware available on that system are a pair of adjacent circles.
