One other thing you may want to think about is getting a wireless
access point separate from your router. I'm still using a crappy ISP
supplied router, but with it's wifi turned off it runs a lot cooler
and is mostly uninvolved in internal traffic.
If the price doesn't scare you away, Unifi APs do a pretty good job.
