Jason,

Sounds awesome, I'll download and test when ever it's uploaded. I plan to
add DVswitch, streaming and recording to the eventstreamr station code.
Most of the logic is already their for the other roles, so it shouldn't be
difficult to implement. Still pondering how we can make the setup self
healing, but I need to sit down and go through the scenarios we face and
work out how things fail in those scenarios.

Once we get everything Stable, I was thinking about how we move video
around. Something we discussed was ionotify, we should be able to detect
when a file is no longer being written to and push it to a central
repository. My colleague has done extensive work using it, so I should be
able to get some pointers.

Let me know which tasks you want to tackle, maybe we can have a google
hangout and discuss workflows and open issues on github. (I've done a bit
of work with those, they're kinda nifty)

Euan,

Did you mention that you'd noted someone talking about dvsource-firewire
and multiple devices? I haven't found much on google regarding it. Looking
at ps, it seems like it just pipes dvgrab -> dvfile or something like that.
I've had a quick read of the source code to it, but not when I've had ample
brain power to switch into C++ mode.

Leon
