I've managed to turn it ON just now (well, yesterday).
[summer at emu xdm]$ grep dpms *
Xservers:#0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X dpms -broadcast -query possum
Xservers::0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X dpms -broadcast -query possum
Xsetup_0:/usr/bin/X11/xset dpms
[summer at emu xdm]$ pwd
/etc/X11/xdm
(I'm trying to get chooer going too).
X dpms in Xservers turns it on for xdm or maybe the line in Xsetup_* does
- no matter that screen's turned off, not een a power light.
like my sig!!
