[plug] Easy Problems

1.  My X server (the SVGA one running on a RH5.1 box) seems to stop
after it gets to the cross stage.  I can change resolutions (ctrl -
alt - +/-) and move the mouse but just simply can't do anything...the
login screen never appears.

2.  I used Xconf and set the mouse to the default (/dev/mouse) but
how/what do I use to let it work with my Logitech MouseMan+- that is
plugged into the Ps/2 port?

Hopefully I have given enough details.
