Thanks for the info.  I will have to try it as soon as I work out how to do
a rom dump.

A couple of errors of the modem side I made. V90 can send 2 symbols/Hz as
it equates to PAM. V34 can only send 1 symbol/Hz as it is QAM and the baud
rate is nyquist limited.

Shannon limits the bps of a circuit.
