I forgot to mentioned the cost normally $1,700, this 1st level class cost
$1,530.  Some info about the course:

Excom Level 1: Linux Installation and Setup Training Course
General
Based on the Sair Linux & GNU Certification guidelines
(www.linuxcertification.org), these training courses conducted by Excom
Education (www.excom.com.au) are designed to teach both practical Linux
skills and cover the knowledge required to obtain Sair Linux & GNU
Certification.

Level 1: Linux Installation and Setup

Overview
This course teaches the knowledge and skills needed to perform Linux
installation, setup, and basic management tasks effectively. 
Participants who complete this course will be able to configure and
troubleshoot a Linux system regardless of the specific distribution used.
Participants who complete this course will also have covered the
necessary topics to complete the first examination and attain
qualifiationas as a Linux Cetified Professional (LCP).

distributions:
Red Hat, Debian, SuSE, Caldera OpenLinux, Mandrake and Slackware.

Audience
Linux users and administrators who are responsible for the installation,
setup, and basic management of a Linux system connected to the network,
Linux Ceritified Professional (LCP), Linux Ceritified Adminsitrator
(LCA), Linux Ceritified Engineer (LCE) and Master Linux Ceritified
Engineer (MLCE) certification candidates.

Pre-requisites
Experience with PC’s using both Graphical User Interface (GUI) and
command line environments is essential. A basic understanding and
familiarity with microcomputer hardware, hard disk management,
hierarchical directory structures, and networking fundamentals is also
highly recommended.
