I use the KDE browser through a proxy - so I know it can be done - from
memory you need to go into the browser options, and you'll find that you can
set up the proxy settings... just get into the browswer and go through the
menu-items - looking for options (I don't have KDE in front of me so I can't
direct you to the exact location).
