Michael,

Sure is. A former employer had implemented this particular idea with
sendmail, but I'm damned if I can remember exactly how they did it. It
_may_ have been the /etc/mail/mailertable file, but don't quote me.

It was set up in a file in the following manner:

  ...
  # Contact - Fred Flintstone 08-9555-1234
  wilma at flintstone.com.au wflintstone at someisp.net.au
  pebbles at flintstone.com.au   stu954af at someuni.edu.au
  @flintstone.com.au          fredf at anotherisp.net.au
  # Contact - Barney Rubble 08-9555-4321
  betty at rubble.com.au stoneage at somewhere.com.au
  bambam at rubble.com.au boomer at abigheavyclub.com.au
  @rubble.com.au              barney at somewhereelse.com.au
  # Ok, so I'm creative - sue me. ;)
  ...

It performs matching from the top-down, similar to a firewall ruleset,
with the final line for each domain being a "catch-all" or default
rule. I'm not sure if the /etc[/mail]/aliases file overrides it,
though.

Sorry I can't be of much more help. :/
