Over the months that I have participated in this group I have noticed a lot
of people mentioning( rather emotionally) that they can't keep Windows "up".
One of the problems i've noticed is the memory hungry appz not returning
ram after closing.
I have been using a program for about 6 months that results in being able
to leave Windows Up and Running for Days (weeks if necessary) on end.
Some may have heard of it...It lives at................

You can set it to run automatically when your memory goes below a limit (
you set) .You can also set it to run in x ammount of minutes, and you can
run it manually.
The registered version includes "cache tuning ".However You don't need it
to run the program successfully.

I have tried other memory enhancing products but this one actually does the
job.
It means not having to reboot unless you've done an install that demands it.
Although it is not Linux, From reading regular posts, most of us have to
spend time in the world of WindBlows -- and -- as a small token of
gratitude -- I thought I should mention it for those who hav'nt come
accross it.
It is one of the best Windows appz Ive come accross for managing Windows'
huge memory
addictions!!!
I thought some of you may like to know about it...if you dont already
