[plug] rpms and dependencies

As I've said, the ncurses3 (along with ncurses4) appears to be
on the system already.  Nevertheless, since I've been given
this answer twice now, I tried it:

#rpm --install ncurses*rpm
error: ncurses3-1.9.9e-9.i386.rpm cannot be installed

(Presumably because it woul be a downgrade)

Any other suggestions?
