[plug] LILO Problems

I've got a problem on the boot setup of lilo I've got a 366 mhz pentium running RH5.2 with a 9.2 gig SCSI hard drive with two partitions on the sda drive one is the linux partition the other is the swap.  I've turned the Primary master Disk and all the other stuff to none as suggested last night but when it comes to where lilo is supposed to load. e.g.

Verifying DMI Pool Data ........

then it hangs.

Suggestions or further questions on my system would be helpful.
