On my linux (RH 5.2) box, I have the following line in my lilo.conf:

vga=2

that _should_ set up 80x50 text screen on my monitor, if I remember
rightly.  And indeed it does, but...

What happens is that it set the resolution, goes through its processing
at startup, and immediately after turning on quotas (which it shouldn't
be doing anyhow), the screen drops back to 80x25.

Any ideas, anyone?
