[plug] Netscape behaviour?

It is probably doing a DNS lookup. Try renaming /etc/resolv.conf.
( To find out, use tcpdump or strace. )

Is this when it grabs the cursor, with a menu up,  and wont let you select
another window? If so, you should be able to ctrl-alt-Fn to console, and
kill Netscape. With fvwm2, I need to then alt-tab to get the focus back to 
normal windows. Other WMs may differ, but experiment.
