One of the problems raised was the install. Download latest boot images 
for the cure.

I have also read that the 'workstation" setup erases things first. I'd 
take care with that one.

I don't think a fresh install is an especially good idea. For starters, 
you lose anything in the "local" directories - software installed from 
sources outside the distro.

Then there's all the configuration stuff in /etc maybe network, dialup, 
DNS, Squid, Apache, Mail....
