[plug] Problem with NE2000 card using thin coax.

sounds likely - there are no jumpers on the card - I have suspected all
along that it'd need an "ezsetup" style program to set them up - I was
hoping that if I could determine the port / chip that the card accessed, I
could write a short C++ program to go in there and toggle the appropriate
port or somesuch.. 8-)

Cheers

Hi, David.

The cards have utp as well as thin enet, right? Well I've seen some early
cards which required a DOS programme called "ezsetup" which configured the
cards to use either the bnc or the utp port. Very early cards used a set
of 6, 2-way jumpers to swap the active connector. Could this be the
problem (need to run ezsetup?) Others may know if an equiv. prog. for
ezsetup is available for Linux.

HTH,
Denis
