I haven't seen it defined on any of the Linux pages ...so far.

I'll trade you a funny for an answer in english:

Yesterday the woman in the cubie near me couldn't get her windows box to boot.  Another cubie mate went over to her pc, poked around a bit and then she said "Oh! You are outta pink space!"  (The disk was completely full)  With windows you got your pink space and you got your blue space.  Gotta maintain that pink space.
