I haven't yet installed SO 5.01 so can't comment on that but 5.0 is
indeed slow, especially when printing, and not at all inclined to keep
the screen updated with what it's busy on at any given instant. It also
*needs* 32MB of RAM in order to function adequately. OTOH, it doesn't
seem (even under Windows) to be nearly as prone to "bogging" as Word is.
They each have their pro's and cons, but SO is mowing down cons at a
very rapid rate. It is as far progressed from V3 as Word is at V8, only
Word didn't have a version 4 and SO took about a quarter of the time to
go from V3 announce to V5 announce.
