Consider I've said it again

I upgraded from 2.0.35 to '36 yesterday then checked what I needed to
update to go to the 2.2.3 kernel I have laying around. Everything being in
place, I built my 2.2.3 kernel and everything went well except IP mask:- I
misconfigured the kernel. Built a new one this arvo and IP masq was working
a few minutes ago.

Redhat 5.2 requires further updates and the information at Red Hat isn't
entirely accurate. Even Documentation/Changes lacks one upgrade I found
essential. I have a Fujistsu M2513A drive that takes 640 Mb media, 2 K
sectors. This requres en even newer util-linux: util-linux-2.9i which
contain fdisk and mkfs that accept -b to specify the blocksize (in bytes).
