[plug] WM & Enlightenment confuse consol

Am still new to recent X windows managers and have been able to have
both WMaker and Enlightenment lock up. When I kill the xserver off
the console is all spagetti font. 
Have tried the stty sane command ?  to reset console fonts to no effect
am I using the right command or what else could be wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Just following some of the threads has helped me with other problems
without having to ask Qs my self.  Just thought you would all like to know.
