"Donating redundant equipment which cannot be sold
-------------------------------------------------
If you want an easy solution to what to do with redundant computer
equipment, here are two suggestions:

A non-profit community organisation called The Mandurah Musketeers
collects
donations of old computers and re-distributes them to charitable and
worthy causes. They are supported by Murdoch University, Curtin
University, The Australian Computer Society, the ABC and Western Mining
Corporation. (WMC Resources recently gave them 200 computers) They have
the use of a warehouse in Mandurah to store the equipment and volunteer
technicians to fix and prepare them for re-use. The contact for the
Mandurah Musketeers is Lindsay Duus, phone 9535 4895.

If the equipment is considered too old (they don't want anything less than
a 386) or not able to be fixed, it is given to another group called the
Windsor Park Men's Club, a group of retired men who dismantle and re-cycle
computer parts. 50% of the money made from the parts goes to the
Princess
Margaret Hospital Teddy Bears' Club. The contact for the Windsor Park
Men's Club is Barry Mayne, phone 9361 4583."
