Trevor, just adjust the fstab entry like:

/dev/sd1  /mnt/jaz  vfat  user,uid=0,setuid=1

That should do it. Actually, i cant get the setuid option to work. :(

Or on a different tone, what you said before: put the linux-specific parts
in one directory, and symlinks to the data dir's on the DOS partition.
Works for me.
