Um... no. I'm just agreeing with what you said below that. Relax.
StarOffice is a good reason to upgrade your RAM. Everything else I've used
is OK with 32MB.

Though I havent tried 5.0 yet. Is it any slimmer?

Linux is fine on a 486. Just dont try playing quake.
