Hi

I whole-heartedly second that, having had both a P2B-D, and now a P2B-DS,
since early '98, I have found their performance, stability, and
compatibility beyond reproach.

My current toy has 2 of the 'Covington' Celeron 266 (cacheless) running with
112 MHz rambus (448MHz each), with a 9.1 GB 10kRPM Cheetah HDD connected to
the onboard LVD SCSI bus, regularly averaging over 18.5 MB/sec (yes
MegaBytes!).

This setup rules under Linux (RedHat 6), although the tiny scritch that is
the sound of Netscape loading tends to make the setup seem somewhat
overpowered. The biggest thrash it gets currently is updatedb once a day. :)

One of the other nice features of this board is the onboard CPU and Mobo
Temperature and fan speed monitoring circuitry, although I have yet to see
any nice MotherBoad Monitor style DockApps that utilise these features yet.
Anyone?
