Sorry everyone about my last email I think sent it to the wrong place,

here it is again without the other stuff,

Could someone please tell me how I can get the username of a user remotely
logged in on a serial port (ttySx).

I am using ppp over the serial connection and was wanting to write a program
that reads files from the users dir (ie /home/username/file.txt). Is there
any way that I can get the username so I can construct the path to the dir
of the user logged in.
