You must be joking. Linux is quite comfortable in 8 megs and usable in 4, 
while X is comfortable in 16 and usable in 8. If you are referring to the
16M diskspace typo, then you're right, there would only be limited
applications of a Linux machine with 16M of storage, but depending on what
the guy wanted, it might still be worthwhile.
