better to get the froots in public; get 'em all here at once;-)

I don't think the meaning of RTFM is at issue; what IS of concern is the 
relevance of most of the postings to the aim of the list.

The list is primarily for Linux; if a topic is of equal relevance to OS/2 
or Win* or Mac*, it doesn't belong here. Social issues (such as censorship 
and wiretaps) do not belong here.

News of a Linux conference in the Eastern States and discussion of how to 
get there is relevant. News of the Linux pocketbook is relevant. I won't 
argue either about wget (on Linux) questions even though there is a better 
forum (the wget mailing list).


I don't see advocacy items as useful either; we're already using Linux, 
and we've seen how heated the RHL vs Debian discussions become and how 
little they contrimite to amity.
