chris i think you have it a bit backwards ...

Its intel's new chipset, the 820, that uses a new type of ram, rambus.
Amd are just using pc100 atm for the athlon. Nvram = non volatile ram? I
couldnt really see people using nvram for system ram heh.  Also why the
hell would a fire in legend's S.A. shop cause ram prices to rise across
the whole world?
