Dave,
I too have a Sparc 2 (40MB ram and 2GB disk, play toy) and it is running
RedHat (5.2 at the moment but I have 6.1 Sparc I am going to put on it). My
system has no floppy drive and had no cdrom when I first installed it,
although I do now have an old cdrom which does mount on it but I have never
tried to boot/install from it (yet).
I did the original install using a combination of bootp (to get the install
image going) and nfs (to get the rest of the images) both served out from
my i386 linux box.
Is this of any use to you? I live in Hillarys.
Regards,
Chris Griffin
