[plug] off-topic slightly

Have run @ 100mhz w/ 2x 366mhz celerons (with a really big fan on each) in
dual config in Win2000 and RH 6.1 yet to try on RH 6.2
Is a dual socket 370 PPGA board so no adaptors needed

U need to manually add smp to adaptor most cards as the pins arent
connected, but i always like to keep with the correct socket (ie Ill use a
socket 370 board for a celeron instead of a slot 1 with converter)

Are you talking single or dual cpu configurations? how high did you go?

I have seen the Abit BP6 Dual Socket370 mobo.... is there any special brand
of adapter I need, or will any ppga s370 converter do?

Good question.

U can easily o/c celerons on the Abit BP6 (look at www.bp6.com for specs)
has cool features like fsb adjustable in 1mhz increments and etc) it is
designed especially for the celeron PPGA processors and even has UDMA 66.
They're also cheaper than Dual Slot 1 boards at around $260ish. I havent
had any complaints with mine in Linux or winblows

Gday

Im going to attempt to upgrade my PII-266(o/c 300) linux box... Im looking
at a dual celeron (366) overclocked arrangement... however Im reading that
most converters dont support dual processor boards.... and you need these
special converters to hack around the celerons' anti-dualness...

Does anybody have any experience in overclocking these suckers? Which
MB/converter would be best?
