I don't know about that particular Crystal chipset, but my IBM thinkpad uses
the Crystal CS4232 and this works just fine with the default RH versions 5.2 up
until now (6.2).

Just for your information, this is the line from my /etc/conf.modules file:

	options cs4232 io=0x530 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=3 mpuio=0x330 mpuirq=7

Perhaps you can try the cs4232 driver, it may work - who knows ;)
