unfortunatly ( or fortunatly depending on your perspective) all forms of
electronic media , pc, tv, audio , etc are very rapidly merging together.
Many TV's now have a VGA socket on the back, and are capable of running "multi
sync". With the advent of digital tv and the possibilities it, and satellite,
optic fibre, have for high speed data the pc and other forms of media are set
to become more integrated with each other. Imagine your tv channel(s) in
several windows, your desk top and/or running applications in others all on a
big 34 inch (not cm) monitor. Many manufacturers either have products like this
on the market or are about to release them. The trend will happen and grow as
consumers see the benifits(?) of having a very interactive entertainment unit.
