[plug] distros (again)!

Hi

I currently have Mandrake 7.1 installed. I had trouble with 7.2 (GPL), I
couldn't use notebook keyboard after install. So I decided to look around at
other distributions. I have only ever used 44 3.5 diskette version (1983),
Slackware in late 80's, RH 5.0-6.0, and now Mandrake.

I am thinking of SUSE 7.0; but now Debian 2.2 has my interest.

Any advice from those who now these two distros would be nice before I make my
final decision.
