Yep that's the reason all right. They have also blocked napster ports
which figures.
If they were going to apply a choke why not to news groups particularly
and ftp as well I asked.

ftp still works

Actually choice in Albany is pretty limited I'd suggest that's why they
are not to worried about the repercussions.
