Oliver,
its not that hard, especially if you still have the old drive
and can boot from it.
 Jumper the new HDD as slave, put it in your PC, partiton (fdisk),
 format (e.g. "mke2fs /dev/hdb1"),
 "mount /dev/hdb1 /mnt"
 "cp -a -x / /mnt"
 Remove old drive, jumper new as master, boot from floppy, run lilo.
