if you can find out the name of the package you are after just go to a shell
terminal
and type

rpm -i <package name>

you can also use wildcards...for example

to install telnet-server1.9.rpm

just type

rpm -i telnet-s*

happy installing :)

I have been attempting to install applications using the GNOME rpm
installer -
but it continually crashes with a floating point error.

a/ are there other rpm istallers that I should know about?
b/ If so where?
c/ If not, is there a fix to the Gnome app?
d/ Machine is an alpha xl266, with RH6.1
