[plug] RH6.2 Kernel problem

Just tried to recompile the RH Linux distributed 6.2 kernel version
2.2.14-5
and i keep getting the following error >
almost all the modules (several hundred of them approx) come up with
unresolved sysbol errors when trying to 
insert them 
ans allways related to the best_memcopy or best_memset and similar
sounding symbols
as shown below
I recompiled the modules (make modules) and installed them ( make
modules_install) 
and ran depmod but i still get the error

I need to do a pigphysarea patch but cant even compile without the patch 
ive run depmod - and it dosent help - just complains as shown above

Funny thing is the RPM kernel and modules from RH6.2 work perfectly
without any errors
yet when i use either recompiled modules or kernel or both i get the
error
so either RH known something i dont or mabey i am just doing something
wrong ? 
And ive recompled kernels (RH6 and RH5.2) before without any problems
and it normally works fine)

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions about this ?

Anyone else successfully recompiled  the RH6.2 release kernel version ?
