Lucy wanted some help with a few of her games. After she'd got that, Xan
summoned her (woke up and cried) so I decided to see if Mandrake 7.1 had
added anything to XMMS while I was there. They had. Indeed they had! The
screenshots are very bizarre.

First pciture: the OpenGL spectrum analyser is rotating smoothly as it
jumps about; one axis is time, the other is frequency and height is
intensity. The snail-looking thing is XMMS as seen through a control
plugin. In the background is an xiterm window editing the source to scp.
Second picture: the green scrapyard refugee is the control plugin, plus
the standard XMMS window is still up - but with speakers attached (they
vibe to the music). The display plugin has a wildly coloured scope trace
across the middle of it, with a melty-looking interpretation of the
scope trace (not just persistence) flowing "towards" you from the
center. In background, licq client and Netscape.
Not shown: other very bizarre control windows and cool-looking display
plugins.

Linux will not get in the door by simply mentioning it... it must win
by proving itself superior. We have no marketing department, our sales
department is an FTP server in North Carolina and our programming
department spans seven continents. Am I getting through? -- Signal11
