Still on my quest to replace my NTW desktop with Linux/KDE. 

1. Installed a new version on RH6.0, KDE. Added a user and made the user a
member of the root group. Fixed the cdrom/floppy issues thanks to
suggestions from the list. But on this machine I can not configure the KDE
desktop or task bars. It shows the right menu help but when I click
configure does nothing. Where is the configuration stored or how are
permissions controlled for KDE desktop?

2. I have never used mail on a Linux box before. I selected all the
defaults. I have pointed the "inbox" to our Exchange server, using
mail.wa:25 and I get nothing. I now there must be more to this, but the
sendmail HOWTO looks so daunting .... and I am not even sure if I am reading
the correct HOWTO to solve this problem.

Any guidance please
