Would anyone be able to help me identify a SGI machine?

I have the motherboard lettering, but I am trying to identify the processor
type to do a Linux installation. 

I am told that the chips are all marked "SGI".. 

Motherboard lettering is :
Mosse Head System no 03-1038 004 REV C
Copyright Silicon Graphics INC 1996

Or is there something else to look for?
