Hello Everyone,
I have a slight mail problem.
I'm running a very simple mailing list using Majordomo v. 1.95.4 with
Sendmail v 8.10.2 and am getting bounced mail from the Telstra mail server
extmail.bigpond.com
The error message is
(reason: 552 too many recipients; recipient deleted)
The SMTP log (formatted to fit the mail);
Apr 6 12:31:17 paradigmit sendmail[26681]: f364DEo26626:
addr1 at bigpond.com.au,addr2 at telstra.com, ... ,addr40 at bigpond.com.au, [more],
ctladdr=fishingwa at paradigmit.com.au (517/517), delay=00:18:03,
xdelay=00:03:54, mailer=esmtp, pri=33041482, relay=extmail.bigpond.com.
[139.134.5.153], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (ok)
I have taken out the 37 addresses in the '...' area, but the rest is
in-tact.
I called Telstra and their current policy is to not deliver any mail with
more than 100 recipients "in an effort to reduce spam".
Fine. I am not spam, so deliver my messages ... No, cannot, will not.
Does anyone know how to configure majordomo or sendmail (and I believe it's
sendmail) to deliver one message at a time?
Any suggestions appreciated.
- Brian.
