[plug] telnet access in Red Hat 6.1

This appears when I boot. I will try to fix it at some point, but I haven't
yet.

does this message appear on your  log when you attempt to telnet or when
you boot ?

Have you tried to actually ssh into it using Putty or sililar.  Is sshd
running when you do a ps ax ?
