a) Add yourself to the "audio" group. As root, exit /etc/group, or as root:
	adduser clinton audio

b) apt-get install sndconfig

c) cd /usr/share/doc/sndconfig
   Read this documentation

d) Decide on ALSA or Kernel drivers. Kernel will have some very common 
   stuff, and works quite well. ALSA is a bit more advanced, but 
   requires more fiddling.

e) Go back and use sndconfig again, just in case

f) Modprobe the kernel module for your card. Look at the devices you 
   should have. Perhaps install esound?
