	2 things

	1) Can you try to start it, and send us the output of the command
line as well as 'tail -n 100 /var/log/messages'

	2) Are you running 'apache' from the command line, or starting with
/etc/init.d/apache start (or is it /etc/init.d/httpd start?)

Subject:	[plug] Apache / Debian Woody

I've recently upgraded my Debian Potato box to the testing
distribution and a newer kernel (2.4.7) and everything works great
except for apache. The apache and apache-common packages install
fine
and the configuration files have been set up and are syntatically
correct but the server refuses to start. I would execute the binary
and after a moment of chugging my prompt reapears, the server hadn't

started and the process has obviously stopped (being unable to find
mention of it when doing a "ps -A") I have uninstalled apache and
apache-common and reinstalled using the stable packages but the same

problem results. Any one have any idea what could be going on here?

	Regards
	Paul
