I cannot seem to install glibc2 from the mirror for the potato site :o(

(begin)
[root at excalibur:/home/khalan]$apt-get install glibc2
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Package glibc2 has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and
never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents

of sources.list
However the following packages replace it:
  locales
E: Package glibc2 has no installation candidate
(end)

my sources.list states :

(begin)

if you are wondering why I need this... the file libm.so.5 is not
installed and I need it to install Quake 2 :oP
Any suggestions?
